We are looking for people to collaborate with for our first project 90 Seconds to Midnight. This project, led by Artistic Director Adam Lenson, will be inspired by The Doomsday Clock. This is a symbol first created in 1947 by the board of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists that speaks to the likelihood of a man-made global catastrophe. The time of the clock is established in January of each year. It is currently set at 90 seconds before midnight. The board monitors new developments in life sciences and technology that could inflict irrevocable harm to humanity. The piece will explore multiple interwoven stories of people affected by nuclear risk, climate change, and disruptive technologies.

The deadline for the below opportunities is Friday 17th February 2023.

// Playwrights who write songs //
(Part Time: 20 days from March - October 2023)

We are looking to meet playwrights who also write songs to be involved in our first project 90 seconds to midnight. On this occasion we are keen to meet writers who have experience of both text and music. The writers might have a musical theatre background or experience in collaborative and interdisciplinary work. We are also keen to meet those with an interest in science and technology. We will bring together four writers to co-author this new piece of music theatre.  At least one of the writers on the project will be found through open application.

Write to us here with an expression of interest and a CV. Please also fill in this equal opportunities form.

// Project archivist //
(Part Time: 10 days from March - June 2023)

We are looking to find a project archivist to reflect on the development of 90 seconds to midnight. This person will compile journals, research, and observations on the process and resulting work. We do not have preconceptions of exactly what experience this person will have but it might suit a dramaturg, journalist, stage manager, writer or researcher. We are especially keen to meet those with interest in science and technology. We currently have funding for this role up until June but we are planning to be able to extend until October.

Write to us here with an expression of interest and a CV. Please also fill in this equal opportunities form.
